Friday comes early with P3P and Trails in the Sky news

Thu, 4th Aug 2011 | Posted by Ross

I hope you are adjusting to the idea of our blogs going up on Thursday. I’ve found it works better as comments aren’t closed for 2 days straight after posting, and we’ve had some interesting conversations below the line on the last blog.

Anyway, what have I been up to this week you ask?  Well, I’ve been madly busy so first up is a little update for P3P on PSN, which I’m beginning to suspect some of you are quite keen on.  I still don’t have a concrete release date yet (groan) but I can tell you that you won’t have long to wait.  The PSN master of P3P is with the SCEE compat testing team as I type so unless they find any problems, we should have some more solid news for you in the next blog (hooray!)

I’ve also been doing a lot of work on the manual for Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, along with helping to choose materials and art resources for the Collector’s Edition (more on that next week).  Plus I’ve been checking reviews for TitS ;-) and it's great, although not unexpected, to see how much everyone really loves this game. The Metascore still stands at an incredible 80% while the User Score is even higher at a fantastic 89%.

On top of all this, I’ve been busy with something slightly more unusual as I’ve been answering questions for an interview with the lovely guys over at Play Magazine.  I’ve never been interviewed before and I’m finding it really rather exciting.  I’m not sure which issue my interview will be in (I haven’t actually finished answering the questions yet) but I’ll let you know when, so that you can hear what I have to say from the dizzy heights of my soapbox.

That’s all for this week but I’m already looking forward to joining you again next week, where amongst other things I’ll be confirming the release details for P3P on PSN, as well as announcing yet another new game that we’ve just licensed!

Congratulations for the interview! I'd really like to read it, but I don't live in the UK so I doubt I could find a copy of that magazine. Good for you, anyway!! So, shall we start with some other hints about the newly licensed game? *.*
technochicken says:

Ohh ill be sure to read that when its out. Any news on a new generations release date? And yeah how about a clue to the new game. Im hoping persona 2. Had to import the first one few years ago and dont wanna do that again :p so much haasle waiting. What platform is it on? Cya next week.
[GL] Ross says:

@Haseo My lips are sealed this time when it comes to hints. I was far too obvious last time around :(. @technochicken its not 100% final but Agarest zero's estimated release date is the 19th. The new game is on PSP
AcidCrashX says:

Great news on P3P duder :) looking forward to hearing about it next week
[GL] Ross says:

@AcidCrashX I thought that might make you happy.

Looks like I'll have to buy a Play magazine, hope you enjoy the rest of you're interview. Oh and about Agarest, will it have an optional install as I'm getting a 640 gig HDD and intend to utalise it... its taking 20 hours so far to delete and copy data, only half way through as I kept getting a back up error... so manually it is... all 600 save files, I might not bother with WipEouts 100 plus ghost datas :P
Demius says:

I don't get it :p p3p for psn ? Does that mean you can download it and play it on your PS3 :)
technochicken says:

Ok im pressing my luck as you said no more clues but, anyothers? Is it part of a series? A traditional japanese rpg? Srpg? Not an rpg, shock?! Come on pweeeesee.
Ben says:

Another PSP game? They're great games, and all, but a bit more variety would be nice. Especially since the PSP is region-free. Personally, I'm still holding out for Devil Survivor Overclocked (although for this particular announcement, my hopes have been superbly dashed once again).
Cam says:

is still need to get myself a psp. i have a copy of p3p and i havened played it yet |:
Belphegor86 says:

Agarest fans check out the following interview with series director Sugano Kenta http://www.siliconera.com/2011/08/04/reflections-on-record-of-agarest-war/ Check back tomorrow when they talk about potential licensing of AS2! @Ross Cool, have not bought a gaming mag in years but I may have to pick up that issue - glad to see them interested in the smaller, niche publishers.
Phi says:

I like the Thursday posts. Doesn't change much though. Just feels like I get early news. And makes for a great birthday present as well! Haha! Have a good one on the interview! And... What's with that dodgy smiley in the post? Hrm... :|
[GL] Ross says:

@Pepsi_Biofusion Agarest Zero does have an optional install. @Demius Sadly no it just means PSP owners can get it through PSN so it's important for Go owners and those who prefer digital copies. @technochicken :) No Comment @Ben While we love the PSP we are thinking about a number of non PSP games. @Cam Do it P3P is ace :) @Belphegor86 Thanks for the link.
[GL] Ross says:

@Phi Happy Birthday. Hope you had a good one @Everyone I'll make sure to let you guys know when I find out what issue my interview is going to be in.
techochicken says:

Ohh well worth a try. Least your showing the little psp some love. Practically no releases now its being replaced by vita. Esp boxed collectors editions! Defo looking forward to trails though and the collectors contents.
[GL] Ross says:

@technochicken You're going to love Trails in the Sky its my game of the year so far.
Rena says:

Hope Ghostlight gets a Agarest 2 license, but sadly still have to wait some time to play it
Justin says:

any chance of a Trails in the Sky PSN release?
[GL] Ross says:

@Justin It should get a PSN release as well as UMD.
Kraigos says:

I hope that its going to be persona 2 that was licensed and finally i can see the day when i can play p3p on my psp. :) damn broken umd drive
michaelius says:

I keep my fingers crossed for P2 too ;)
