Thu, 1st Dec 2011 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  Good to see you again.  We’ve released our second batch of Agarest: Generations of War Zero DLC which includes the following 19 items:

  • Daily Life Extension Pack
  • No Underestimated Pack
  • Chaos War Pack
  • L's Daily Life Extension Pack
  • Tomorrow's, Leading Part Pack
  • Cie's Bargain Pack
  • Youthful Days Pack
  • Strongest Weapon Pack
  • Usual Extra Pack
  • Point Addition Pack 3
  • Point Addition Pack 4
  • TP Addition Pack
  • PP Addition Pack 1
  • PP Addition Pack 2
  • Forbidden Book Volume 1
  • Forbidden Book Volume 2
  • Forbidden Book Volume 3
  • Additional Costume 1
  • Additional Costume 2

This new set of DLC joins our first batch of DLC and a collection of free Agarest Zero DLC on the PSN store. The final 3 items of paid Agarest Zero DLC (Unlock Expressions, Unlock Movie Gallery and Unlock Voices) will be released next Wednesday 7th December 2011. More details on pricing then.

Talking of Agarest DLC, our poll to decide which set of Agarest: Generations of War DLC would have its price slashed is now closed and the results have been counted and verified, so a big thank you to everyone who voted.  Set C containing Chastity Set, Gold and Enemy point pack, Grim Reaper Set, Neverland Set and Additional TP scored a narrow victory.  We are now talking to the people over at Sony to set up a two week 50% price reduction for all the Agarest: Generations of War DLC in this set. A release date for this price reduction will be announced as soon as it’s been confirmed.

Moving on, some of you may remember that last week we mentioned we were going to be announcing two new games and I threw a couple of clues out there for you to have a look at.  Sadly one of the clues was, um… well… it was sort of wrong.  My fault entirely; I thought I was being clever and unfortunately it turned out that the opposite was true.

Next week we will be seeing a bit of a blast from the past as a Friday Blog replaces the Thursday Blog for one night only.  It’s going to be a bit of a special one, so get ready for a PS3 announcement. :)

While you’re waiting for that, remember to keep an eye on our Twitter, Facebook and our brand new, shiny Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.  Hope to see you there.

Craig says:

Can you tell us what genre the ps3 game is? :P I don't know if I should get excited or not.
[GL] Ross says:

@Craig It's an RPG
technochicken says:

Wonder if its agarest 2. Not finished zero yet but cant complain if it's another. Or maybe a traditional jrpg? Ohhhh and next Friday is payday wooooo double whammy
Greek says:

Greetings, When we will see persona 2 and legend of heroes on PSN?
Rena says:

@technochicken It would surprise me, if that wasn't the case. Scroll to the bottom http://www.siliconera.com/2011/08/04/reflections-on-record-of-agarest-war/
[GL] Ross says:

@Greek I'm hoping to be able to give you a date for that soon. We're currently waiting form approval from Sony.
tanuki says:

**so get ready for a PS3 announcement.** Hum, interesting! A rpg, so I bet on "Meikyû Tôro Legasista" ^^. No, in fact I have no idéea of the title...
dgnfly says:

won´t be buying any DLC right away i found out that almost nothing get transfered 2 newgame. finishing the game first and buy it on new game plus run.
dgnfly says:

@tanuki your best bet for that game is america NIS considering they released cladun and those are the same developers.
Nelson says:

So, there is no new psp game =,=*?
morph says:

>Sadly one of the clues was, um… well… it was sort of wrong. My fault entirely; I thought I was being clever and unfortunately it turned out that the opposite was true Oh man, now I can only pray for that game to be valkyria chronicles!
Pepsi_Biofusion says:

A PS3 RPG? I'm excited and nervous simultaneously, I've worked out the games I want next year plus Vita already exceeds a grand... still can't wait :D (I think I've spent near treble that these past 23 PS3 enriched months anyway tbh)
Jakester says:

Will you be looking at getting Corpse Party as a possible future release? Please? :)
[GL] Ross says:

@Nelson There is going to be a PSP announcement as well but we're not sure when all the paperwork will be finalised so we can announce it. @Jakester It's a game I've been following and of course we've worked with XSEED in the past so we're aware of it.
Komic says:

please be agarest 2! please be agarest 2! please be agarest 2!please be agarest 2! please be agarest 2!please be agarest 2!
michaelius says:

Hmm PS3 RPG. I can't think of anything that was already announced for US translation that doesn't have European publisher ?
dgnfly says:

@Jakester http://www.pushsquare.com/34970/unexpected-news-corpse-party-is-coming-to-europe/ and i hope it sells well cause they might consider releasing the sequel 2.
Sera says:

A PS3 RPG sounds great, if only because I've been neglecting it due to all of the awesome PSP games. I need to get my money's worth out of it somehow. :-)
Yu says:

Ah, please be Vesperia..! In some way...
Markaza says:

*Prays* Please let the PSP game be Valkyria Chronicles III. I'm hoping that your mistake was that you forgot Valkyria Chronicles II was on PSP.
dgnfly says:

could this ps3 game be Tales of Graces F cause i almost forgot it was gonna have a europe release in 2012 and not sure if bandai would risk another release themselves.
Rena says:

Looks good http://yfrog.com/kjt3daaj
sundayflower says:

@dgnfly Tales of Graces F is still listed on Namco Bandai's EU site so for now it seems like they'll be releasing it here sometime next year.
Matt says:

@dgnfly It won't be Tales Of Graces F NB Europe are a very good publisher now and I'm pretty sure they'll want to do it themselves. A PS3 RPG hmmm... I'm struggling to think of anything other then Agarest 2 on the PS3 they hasn't already been announced for Europe.
farios says:

would be awesome if it's agarest 2
Cybercoin says:

I must get this now! Skyrim can wait!
dgnfly says:

maybe it´s rune factory tides of destiny
Jakester says:

I look forward to Corpse Party, but I'm guessing this will be a PSN release. I was really hoping for a physical release.
ogami says:

² valkyria chronciles 3 http://www.petitiononline.com/petitions/vc3/signatures 2000+ Signatures .. hm ... way to go ^^ Fate/Extra would be nice, but you have to be really good, before I consider to buy it a third time. The jp Type Moon Box, the us Fate/Extra and a possible Ghostlight Release ... hopefully there is more or another bonus then the 16 page Artbook with OST and the Fate the Facts Booklet (I guess the Figma is out of question). But I think I will buy it in hope for a Ghostlight Fate/Extra CC release (already preordered the jp Virgin White Box). Besides, Fate/Extra is within an altered virtual reality, if it isn't even real, what about a changed history? Or did you wanted to hint on famous historical (counter)heroes being female all of a sudden ;) (Nasuverse) For all TitS fans, the first OVA was released end of November in Japan. And it looks great ^^ BUT!! Before even considering it, finish the game. The OVA starts 3 month after the End of LoH: TitS FC. You would see the ending of FC in the first seconds of the intro of Eiyuu Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki THE ANIMATION
dgnfly says:

@Jakester actually you woulden´t want a physical release anymore considering PSvita and any future handheld from sony will not support the format anymore. i´m actually glad with some digital releases without it you woulden´t even get corpse party or like U.S got fate-extra.
ObviusFault says:

Hmm i think it would be fun if ghostlight would get their hands on a european release of shining blade on the PsP
Hoktomaster says:

I know there would be no way that this would happen but it would be great if someone localised mist of chaos by idea facory on the ps3
Barry Walsh says:

I would love if it was Mgazone 23 Aoi Garlnd but its old now and hasn't happened yet...One can dream.
[GL] Ross says:

Remember there is no Ghostlight blog today. Instead you will be treated to the one week only return of the Ghostlight Friday Blog complete with a PS3 announcement. The Blog will be going live tomorrow at 1pm UK time so miss it and er... read about it later!
Eru says:

Totally forgot about tomorrow being the one-time only blog day and wanted to ask my question on the next post...because. Anyway, some forumites and I hit an interesting question about DLC. Not sure if you can answer this, but I began to wonder if companies have to pay a hosting fee for the DLC to be made available...and if DLC doesn't do well (doesn't earn its keep) is the DLC pulled off the shelf?
[GL] Ross says:

@Eru I can't say too much here partly due to NDA and partly due to me not knowing. However I would say that you are very unliely to see DLC pulled by anyone due to poor performance.
dgnfly says:

@Eru http://www.bit-tech.net/news/2009/03/20/publishers-unhappy-with-ps3-bandwidth-fees/1 yes publishers pay for hosting stuff that´s why when the japanese demo off catherine got released in jap store you only got like 3 days 2 download it then it was pulled from their store. @Ross srry for posting something like this. but in the past small publsihers did complain about sony fee´s even gamers complained about it that´s why the price´s are so high on the store. but gotta say ghostlight still had decent price´s compared 2 square enix or konami.
Eru says:

@Ross & dgnfly Thanks for the replies; gosh, I had no idea...last thing I really want to do is add more to someone else's bill you know... I doubt this is a discussion to be had here, but I've always questioned DLC :/
[GL] Ross says:

@Eru Trust me we're perfectly fine with people downloading our DLC :)
Barry Walsh says:

I know you must get asked this a lot but do you think you would/could ever see Lucifers Call ever released on the psp? Still the game with the best "feel" to it of all time.
[GL] Ross says:

@Barry Walsh It's not something we'd have much influence on. That would be up to Atlus.
Barry Walsh says:

Thanks for the reply Ross, Figured it was up to them, Matbe one day : )
KosakaiS says:

soo this is the last of the DLC for Agarest war Zer0 or is there more coming? if so i wonder if you can make a DLC with 10million PP for $20 - $30 i would hell buy that. PP is a bitch to grind. using EU PSN since AUD PSN is very slow in Update
