Hi everyone.
It’s been a long time coming, but I’m pleased to be able to tell you that we’re now ready to open applications to the Way of the Samurai 4 beta!
To join in the Way of the Samurai 4 closed beta all you need to do is to send an email to: beta@ghostlight.uk.com with your name, date of birth and the technical specifications of your PC.
Applications will close on Sunday 8th March, so please make sure to get them in before then. As with previous closed betas, we will not be picking people on a random or first-come-first-served basis, so please do bear that in mind. What a ‘yes’ decision actually comes down to depends on a number of factors, including how representative we feel the range of PC specs we’ve assembled for the beta is.
As we only have a limited number of places available for the beta, feel free to tell us why you think you’d be particularly suited to helping us with the testing phase of Way of the Samurai 4. This may include information like, details of any previous experience you’ve had in beta testing or simply declaring your undying love for the genre. In fact, please tell us anything that you feel is relevant which may help us approve your application. :)

The offer ends on the 9th March so make sure you head to the OMG Zombies Steam Store Page to take advantage of this great deal.
That’s all from me. I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? Gore fuelled chain reaction shooter OMG Zombies is now on sale as part of this week’s Steam Weeklong Deals.
This means that until Monday 9th March OMG Zombies will have its price slashed by an incredible 80% bringing it down to the bargain price of just $0.99. So hurry up and head on over to the OMG Zombies Steam Store page to take advantage of this insane deal while it lasts.
OMG Zombies is an awesome reimagining of a genuine classic: the critically acclaimed OMG-Z, a top-ten all-time Metacritic rated PSP game and ranked as Metacritic’s best action title ever released on PSP! The guys at Push Square gave it 89% and called it “a must buy” game, Escape Rope claimed it’s “...one of the best zombie games in recent memory” and Defunct Games gave it an A rating saying it’s “so addictive... I still can't get enough of watching the explosive chain reaction caused from a well-placed bullet.”
OMG! Alert! Alert! The City of Redfield has been hit by an outbreak of exploding zombies! For cool and unimportant reasons these suckers literally explode when shot, showering their zombie brethren with gore and causing chain reactions of showering zombie gibs with just a single bullet!
As a lone cop armed only with bare wit, a large-calibre sniper rifle and bullets coated in a zombie-exploding pathogen, you are the last man standing at the epicentre of a zombie outbreak. Your mission? To succeed where the police and army failed by clearing the streets of 8 different strains of bloodthirsty zombies and stop Armageddon in its tracks!
Use your sharpshooting skills to vanquish 100 branching levels of zombie hell across 40 unique environments in this hugely addictive chain reaction shooter. Earn 400 shiny medals and cold hard cash to buy 100 different upgrades, all designed to MAKE THOSE ZOMBIES EXPLODE!
Now the new and improved OMG Zombies features completely redrawn HD graphics, more gore, more levels, more upgrades and all-new content including 12 trophies, 100+ leaderboards, a 20-stage ‘Prestige’ system and 5 beautifully illustrated endings.

Hi everyone. I’m afraid that I’m going to have to start with some disappointing news. Unfortunately Way of the Samurai 4 is not going to be ready for release on Steam this month as originally planned. To put it simply, the technical issues we’ve encountered in fixing some of the recently reported bugs have proved more problematic than we had expected and so we’ve had to move the release back. We recognise that many of you will find this news very frustrating and whilst I’m sure it’s no consolation to you all, it’s incredibly frustrating for us. Please rest assured that our best guys are on the case and we’re doing everything we can to get this game ready for you all.
We’re currently looking to get the game out towards the end of March and as soon as these technical problems are resolved I’ll firm up the release date for you all.
Moving on to the Agarest series, I thought I’d remind you all that as it’s now a week since the release of Agarest: Generations of War 2, the discounts on all three Agarest Steam releases will be ending later today (if they haven’t already). So, make sure you hurry to the Steam Store, where you can save 20% on Agarest 2, 50% on Agarest Zero and a massive 75% on Agarest.
While we’re on the subject of Agarest, earlier this week we released a patch for Agarest 2 which fixes some of the issues that have cropped up since launch.
Finally, I thought I’d let you all know that our friends at Laughing Jackal, the team behind our Steam ports, have recently announced a Vita release date for their amazing-looking PS Vita firefighting action roguelike Flame Over. If you’d like to know more, head over to the Laughing Jackal blog for more details on the release and a new Let’s Play video, showing the game in action. Flame Over will also be coming to PS4 and Steam in Q2 2015, so all the more reason to check it out!
That’s all from me.
