Hi everyone.
I’m pleased to be able to tell you that following on from the release of Elminage Gothic, another Ghostlight game has made the jump over to GOG, with Agarest Zero now available on the GOG Store priced at just £13.59. However, if you snap it up now, you’ll be able to enjoy an introductory 50% discount, reducing the price to a very tempting £6.79! At the time of writing, the game is sitting in the Top 5 sellers on the GOG homepage, so a huge thank you to everyone who’s supported our release. :)
From the void, the gods of darkness and light created Agarest, a most perfect and divine world. As the generations passed, paradise sadly fell to the ravages of time. War darkened the skies and Agarest soon became a torturous hell as the gods divided and immense armies clashed, desecrating the once beautiful land…
After many years with the war in deadlock, Sieghart, a young officer loyal to the armies of light, passes through the scarred mountains on a perilous mission. There, he meets a strange girl and unknowingly changes the fate of the world forever.
- Watch the story unfold as you battle the enemy hordes in over 80hrs in a compelling and innovative turn based-based combat system
- Choose the path of Darkness or Light through a truly epic story, spanning multiple generations
- Build your ultimate army of warriors and master Extra Skills, Special Arts and Over Kills to defeat colossal enemies!
- Use the all new Card Skill System to create your hero’s unique persona.
- Featuring stunning new and beautifully animated character portraits.
- The Soul Breed System returns! Unite with your chosen bride to shape the fate of the next generation of heroes
Now, I’d like to move on to the upcoming Steam version of Flame Over. This is a hugely important release for us and something that the guys over at Laughing Jackal are immensely proud of, and rightly so. :) We would like to extend another massive thank you to everyone who has offered to help with the closed beta. Anyone who has applied will receive an email from me in the next few days with your instructions.
That’s all for this week. I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

Hi everyone. Our friends at Laughing Jackal are shortly going to be starting a closed beta for the PC version of their firefighting, action roguelike Flame Over. So if you’d like to help them (and us) out and also get a chance to play the PC version before release then please send an email to: beta@laughingjackal.co.uk stating your name, date of birth and the technical specifications of your PC.
Applications will close on the 22nd April, so please make sure to get them in before then. As with previous closed betas, we will not be picking people on a random or first-come-first-served basis, so please do bear that in mind. What a ‘yes’ decision actually comes down to depends on a number of factors, including how representative we feel the range of PC specs we’ve assembled for the beta is.
Since its release on PS Vita Flame Over has been getting some great review scores including:
“Flame Over isn’t just one of my favorite PS Vita games of the year but one of my favorite games full stop. I seriously cannot stop playing it.” - 10/10
PS Nation
“Extremely addictive. Hours and hours of pure fun.” -100%
PS3blog.net
“...packs a ferocious difficulty level and a protagonist that makes Fireman Sam look like a weakling... Not only is it one of the best games of 2015 (so far), it’s one of the best games on Playstation Vita. Period.”
Critical Indie Gamer
“Flame Over burns about as bright as a Bunsen burner with the air holes open and some magnesium tape held in the flame. It is a rock of a challenge that only Herculean gamers will complete... If you're up for the challenge, jump right in...” - 9/10
PS Vita Roundup
“Flame Over seems too hot to handle at first, but it's worth every hour you invest into it” - 8/10
