With the game receiving very positive Steam User reviews, this is one unique experience you don’t want to miss out on.
Those of you who are still on the fence may be interested in checking out this article on RockPaperShotgun, in which they discuss the story structure of Way of the Samurai 4, and just how much of a difference your choices and actions can make to how the story turns out.
The Way of the Samurai series is widely renowned for allowing players to make far-reaching decisions that can radically alter the course of the story and this, the fourth entry in this thrilling series and previously exclusive to the PS3, is no exception! Now all the sword wielding action, adventure and drama of the Way of the Samurai series comes to PC for the very first time, continuing the series’ blend of customization, exploration, action gameplay and quirky humour.
In other news, Agarest: Generations of War 2 has now been released on GOG, priced at £12.89 with an amazing 50% launch discount reducing the price to just £6.49 until Wednesday 12th August. So, make sure you take advantage of this fantastic deal on the GOG Store.
Agarest: Generations of War 2 is set in a parallel world to the previous two Agarest titles and has a completely new multi generational story and universe to explore. So while existing fans of the series will of course see some familiar features and faces popping up, newer players will not need to have played the previous games to understand and enjoy this instalment of the story.
One day, the world was enveloped by a mysterious blinding light causing terrible destruction. The central continent, from where the light is believed to have originated, fell silent and slowly, demons began to emerge and spread throughout the world like a plague.
Sometime afterwards, a young man by the name of Weiss, suffering from amnesia, encounters the enigmatic Eva who tells him that he has committed the sin of deicide. In order to atone for his crime he learns that he must become the "Vessel" in which the power of the divinity he slaughtered is to be stored. This power will be used to resurrect the one whose life Weiss stole, for those who betray the divine will pay for their sins in the space which separates salvation and damnation, as will their progeny...

Hi everyone. As promised in last week’s blog I now have more details of Elminage Gothic & OMG Zombies’ appearance in this week’s Steam Weeklong Deals for you. So, if you’ve been waiting to pick up these two fantastic games, this is the blog post for you. :)
Today Elminage Gothic will be entering the Steam Weeklong Deals, with a massive 70% discount reducing its price from $9.99 to just $2.99. As the name suggests, this discount will be live until the 10th of August, so be sure to visit the Eminage Gothic Steam Store page to take advantage of this great deal
From the makers of the world renowned “Wizardry Empire” titles, Starfish SD brings you the latest entry in their popular series of dungeon crawlers. Elminage Gothic, previously only available in Japanese on PlayStation® Portable, now comes to PC offering a classic old school dungeon crawling experience with a dark, gothic twist!
Features include:
- Well over 80 hours of dungeon crawling gameplay!
- Hundreds of stunning monsters, creatures and demons to defeat
- Multiple character classes
- The classic and traditional “THAC0” system!
- Full Japanese to English translation
Meanwhile OMG Zombies will have its price slashed by an incredible 80% bringing it down to the bargain price of just $0.99. Just as with Elminage Gothic, this deal will last until the 10th August, so hurry up and head on over to the OMG Zombies Steam Store page to take advantage of this insane deal while it lasts.
OMG Zombies is an awesome reimagining of a genuine classic: the critically acclaimed OMG-Z, a top-ten all-time Metacritic rated PSP game and ranked as Metacritic’s best action title ever released on PSP! The guys at Push Square gave it 89% and called it “a must buy” game, Escape Rope claimed it’s “...one of the best zombie games in recent memory” and Defunct Games gave it an A rating saying it’s “so addictive... I still can't get enough of watching the explosive chain reaction caused from a well-placed bullet.”
In other news I’m pleased to say we have added some frequently requested graphical options to Way of the Samurai 4. By editing the ini file you can now change the Field of View, disable Depth of Field and disable bloom & flare effects. For more details on how to alter these settings, please see the announcement.

It’s been a busy week here at Ghostlight as we have been regularly patching Way of the Samurai 4, both to fix some of the bugs that managed to slip through our extensive beta test, and to add in one or two frequently requested features.
Possibly the most requested feature that was missing from the original release was mouse support. Well, I’m really happy to be able to tell you that in version 1.02 our busy lead programmer has now managed to implement mouse controls, which work as follows:
Moving the mouse controls the camera
Left mouse button = weak attack
Right mouse button = heavy attack
Middle mouse button = block
If you’ve been holding off buying the game because of the missing mouse support, then you might also be pleased to hear that we have extended the 20% launch discount until the 6th of August. So why not head on over to the Way of the Samurai 4 Steam Store page to pick up the game for just £15.19?
In other Way of the Samurai 4 news, some of you might be wondering why you’ve now got a copy of firefighting roguelike Flame Over. If you are, then you should check out the previous blogpost from last night as we explain what’s been going on in that post :)
Finally I’m pleased to report that chain-reaction-shooter OMG Zombies & Elminage Gothic, our old school dungeon crawler, will be part of next week’s Steam Weekly Sale. We’ll be posting more details of the sale on Monday, so keep your eyes peeled for more information.
That’s all from me. I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.
