More Ghostlight Games come to the Humble Store

Thu, 19th Nov 2015 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone. If you liked last week’s release of three Ghostlight titles on the Humble Store, then I have some more good news for you as we have just released some more of our Steam back catalogue onto the Humble Store.

The bestselling SRPG Agarest: Generations of War will be joining the previously released Agarest games on the Humble Store priced at just £10.99. For those of you who prefer the dungeon delving delights of Elminage Gothic you will be able to pick the game up on the Humble Store for just £6.99. Finally Laughing Jackal’s gory chain reaction shooter OMG Zombies will be coming to the Humble store priced at just £3.99.

In other news I’m excited to say that we’ve now received the source code for the Japanese action game I mentioned in last week’s blog. We’re currently in the process of estimating how long it would take to port the game to PC based on this source code, so assuming all goes well we should have some release news for the game in the near future.

We have also begun work on porting another Laughing Jackal game to Steam. We’re going to be announcing which one in next week’s blog, but I should say it’s one of my favourite Laughing Jackal games, so it’s great to see it back in a new form.

That’s all from me.  I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? The GOG Big Fall Sale is upon us

Thu, 12th Nov 2015 | Posted by Ross

The GOG Big Fall Sale is currently ongoing, and there are some great deals on some of our DRM free GOG releases available.

From the best selling Agarest series of SRPGs the Agarest: Generations of War Collectors Edition has had its price slashed by a massive 80% as has the game’s prequel Agarest: Generations of War Zero meaning that each game is available for just £2.59. Meanwhile the latest game in the series Agarest: Generations of War 2 has had its price cut by 70% leaving it at £3.89.

Meanwhile for those of you who like a real challenge the old school dungeon crawler Elminage Gothic has had its price discounted by a whopping 74% leaving the price at just £1.69.

You’ll have to hurry though as not only does the sale itself end on Sunday, but the Agarest games are part of the current daily deal so you won’t be able to get them at this great price for much longer.

Meanwhile since the Steam release of Mugen Souls we’ve been very busy evaluating games for us to pick up, and I’m very pleased to say that we are now very close to agreeing deals for two of them in particular. The first of these is a Steam release of a Japanese action game to, which has probably been one of the more requested games we’ve had at late. I’m hoping to be able to share more details of it in the future, but I guess I should probably wait until the deal is actually signed :).

That’s all from me.  I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight? Ghostlight Games coming to the Humble Store

Fri, 6th Nov 2015 | Posted by Ross

Soon there will be another place to pick up some of our great range of Japanese games on PC, as we will be bringing our games to the Humble Store.

The first wave of Humble Store releases are already available and you can now get two of the best-selling Agarest SRPG series: Agarest: Generations of War Zero and Agarest Generations of War 2, both of which will be priced at $19.99, alongside the brilliant Japanese action game Way of the Samurai 4, which will be priced at $24.99 on the Humble Store.

We’ll also be bringing more games to the Humble Store in the near future!

So, how does the Humble Store work?

When you buy one of our games from the Humble Store you will be given a Steam Key, so you’ll still be able to play the game on Steam and take advantage of features such as Steam Achievements, Cloud Saving and - of course - Steam Trading Cards.

Not only that, but when you buy a game from the Humble Store 10% of the proceeds go to a charity of your choice from a database of thousands. So, not only are you getting a great game but you’ll be supporting some fantastic causes as well!

In other news, some of you may have noticed that there are two Ghostlight titles in the latest Steam Weeklong Deal:

Elminage Gothic will be entering the Steam Weeklong Deals, with a massive 70% discount reducing its price from $9.99 to a mere $2.99! As the name suggests, this discount will be live until the 9th of November, so be sure to visit the Eminage Gothic Steam Store page to take advantage of this great deal

From the makers of the world renowned “Wizardry Empire” titles, Starfish SD brings you the latest entry in their popular series of dungeon crawlers. Elminage Gothic, previously only available in Japanese on PlayStation® Portable, now comes to PC offering a classic old school dungeon crawling experience with a dark, gothic twist!

Flame Over, Laughing Jackal’s firefighting action roguelike, will have its price slashed by 75% reducing the price from $11.99 to flaming hot $2.99!

Flame Over is a fire fighting action game with randomly generated levels, blending Twin Stick Shooter and Roguelike design principles.

Guide fire-fighting hero, Blaze Carruthers, in a race against time and near-certain death! Squirt, splash and spray your way through all 16 floors of the deadly Infernal Industries building, combating ferocious fires in a red-hot adventure that changes every time.

This game is ON FIRE!

Meanwhile on the European PSN store the PlayStation Vita version of Flame Over has had its price slashed by 50% and the PlayStation 4 version of Flame Over has had its price cut by 30% (with a further 20% discount for PS+ users). The deal lasts until the 18th November, so be sure to hurry to the PSN Store to take advantage of these great savings.

Finally I would like to let you know that the updated version of Way of the Samurai 4 is now live on GOG.com, with the night mission issue fixed.

For the players using the GOG Galaxy client the game should update automatically (if they haven't switched off the automatic update feature), for those preferring offline installers, both a patch and a whole new installer are available via their user account on our website.

That’s all from me.  I’ll be back next week, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight?
