Hi everyone. While it seems like it's been a long time coming, we have finally been able to announce a release date for Lost Dimension, which will be released on 30th October, priced at $24.99 with a 40% launch discount.
Earlier this year Al was kind enough to write lots of blog articles talking about Lost Dimension's mechanics, characters and the things he particularly enjoyed about it. Since Al has, at the time of writing, completed Lost Dimension roughly 15 billion times, he's something of an expert :), so these are well worth reading (Don't hit Google now, I'll link to them later in this post. :)
Before I link to all these articles, though, I thought I'd give you a quick reminder of just what Lost Dimension is all about.
Lost Dimension is a strategy role-playing game featuring fast-paced combat, modern weaponry and a colourful collection of moody teenage characters, each with their unique powers (and personal issues!) You'll need to befriend each of your teammates and lead them up a mysterious tower topped by a maniacal terrorist bent on the destruction of the world. You can buy a variety of modern weapons plus unlock and combine various powerful psychic gifts. But the greatest part is this: to reach each floor you must eliminate a traitor in your midst in the Judgment room. Hopefully you'll pick the right one! With the traitors being different every time, your detective work provides a compelling hook to compliment Lost Dimension's punchy, fluid and strategic combat.
And now let us move on to Al's Blogs on Lost Dimension:
First of all, for a general overview of Lost Dimension, check out My 5 favourite things about Lost Dimension and The 5 best things about Lost Dimension.
If you want to get a close look at some of the most innovative, important mechanics in Lost Dimension, I'd suggest checking out Lost Dimension – Battle System Explained and Lost Dimension: The Vision System Explained, which shows you just how you track down those who betray you.
Finally, Al also looked at, without spoilers, the strengths and weaknesses of all the characters you control in Lost Dimension, which can be found in the following series of blogs:
Sho (The protagonist)
Himeno & Toya
Mana & Nagi
Sojiro & Zenji
Marco & Yoko
Agito & George
I hope you'll find all of those as interesting as I did! If you're eagerly waiting for Lost Dimension, be sure to add it to your Steam wishlist, so you can be notified upon release and won't miss out on the brilliant 40% launch discount on both the game and its DLC.
That’s all for now. I’ll be back soon with more news, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

I hope you'll all agree that those are some fantastic savings, particularly if you take advantage of the 40% launch discount. So, why not add Lost Dimension to your wishlist on Steam, so that you're notified when the game is released and don't miss on those savings? ;D
In other news the fiendishly brilliant Devil Survivor Overclocked has had its price slashed from £24.99 to £8.99 on the Nintendo 3DS eShop as part of the Halloween sale. While I may be a bit biased this is a brilliant price for such an amazing game, and if you haven't picked this up on 3DS then you really don't want to miss out.

Hi everyone. I'm delighted to let you know that Lost Dimension will be released on Steam on the 30th October, priced at $24.99, with a stunning 40% launch discount if you buy Lost Dimension before 6th November. So, make sure you head to the Lost Dimension Steam Store page and add the game to your wishlist to ensure you receive an email from Steam when the game is released.
While I know it will seem a long week until the game is released, you can look through some of Al's character blogs, and discussions of the game's mechanics to help pass the time and whet your appetite.
We're just putting the finishing touches to the release build now, and I'd like to thank the hard work of the dev team and our dedicated group of beta testers, who've once again been a massive help getting the game ready to release.
I myself have really enjoyed my time working on Lost Dimension and I'm really looking forward to sharing the results of our hard work with you all.
Developed by Lancarse, creators of a number of highly acclaimed JRPGs and published by FURYU Corporation in Japan, Atlus in North America and Nippon Ichi in Europe on PlayStation 3 and Vita in 2014-15, this one truly is a corker!
Some of you may already know that the team behind Lost Dimension have an incredibly impressive pedigree. The game's intriguing storyline was written by Jun Kumagai, the Pillar’s intelligent floor designs were headed up by Takeshi Oga, while the character designs were provided by Yuu Yamashita and Makoto Tsuchibayashi.
In Japan, both the PS3 and PS Vita versions of Lost Dimension received highly-coveted Gold Awards from a very well-renowned gaming magazine company. All four reviewers from the publication gave the PlayStation 3 version of Lost Dimension a score of 8, for a total of 32/40, while the PlayStation Vita version received scores of 8, 8, 8 and 9, for a total of 33/40.
Lost Dimension was also hugely well-received in the West, receiving some fantastic reviews:
Digitally Downloaded “Lost Dimension is an incredible title, with a constant sense of escalation and drama.” 4.5 Stars out of 5
PSU.com “Lost Dimension is a unique title that tries to bring some originality to RPGs, as well as a new form of replayability. The core concept is fantastic and makes the story thought provoking.” 8.5/10
NZGamer "Gripping character work complements deep combat." 8.4/10
Destructoid “It's a genuinely satisfying and memorable tactical RPG that I won't soon forget.” 8/10
Taking place in the near-future, with the world in ruin, a terrorist mastermind known only as ‘The End’ threatens humanity with a nuclear apocalypse. To combat this threat, a Special Forces group comprised of eleven young psychics with incredible superhuman abilities, is tasked with pursuing The End to the summit of a sky-scraping tower which has dramatically appeared on the city skyline from out of nowhere. Can the team find and eliminate The End and avoid the nuclear Armageddon he has set in motion?
Key game features:
· Take on the enemy across tactically-created environments in an amazingly strategic turn-based battle system!
· Create bonds with your teammates and use your psychic talent of ‘vision’ to rifle through their minds and find the traitors!
· Every person counts in battle as you place teammates to benefit and shield each other and manage their ‘Defers’ and ‘Berserk’ modes!
· Test your investigation and deduction skills by finding the traitor on each floor of the towering Pillar. Traitors are randomly determined, so no two playthroughs are the same!
With Lost Dimension, FURYU Corporation have created an incredible JRPG that manages to feel unique, yet strangely reminiscent of some of my favourite Japanese games :)
The PC version of Lost Dimension will support multiple screen resolutions, mouse/keyboard and controller support, Steam Achievements and cloud saving. It will also feature the original high quality localisation from Atlus, plus we will be implementing higher resolution artwork in a number of areas in-game.
