Hi everyone. Between sales on Steam & GOG, and the GOG release of Way of the Samurai 3, there has been quite a bit happening here at Ghostlight so far in 2018, and it certainly hasn't been any less busy this past week, as there have been a couple of quite exciting developments.
First of all, a new build of Tokyo Xanadu eX+, which we developed for our friends at Aksys Games has very recently gone live on Steam. This version includes the option to play with Japanese text, for those of you who prefer to. It was also good practise for me, as I'm still learning the language, although sadly my time spent on this version revealed my Japanese still isn't that good. :(
In other news, I've just been given the first PC build of one of our upcoming releases: a rather interesting looking dungeon crawler. While I'm still waiting to be able to talk to you more about it, I am really enjoying it so far, and I'm sure you all will too. :)
More will be revealed as soon as we're able to do so!
That’s all for now. I’ll be back soon with more news from Ghostlight, but until then why not follow us on our Twitter, Instagram and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight. The amazing 50% launch deal for the DRM Free GOG release of Way of the Samurai 3 has just got even better, as GOG have now added a further 15% discount off the price of Way of the Samurai 4 when you buy them together!
To take advantage of this stunning deal simply head to the Way of the Samurai 3 Store page on GOG and use the 'Buy Series' option to buy both games. The additional 15% discount means that you'll pay just £23.98 in order to receive both of these incredible open world action games! For some reason the price displayed next to the 'Buy Series' option does not immediately reflect the extra 15% discount, but if you check your cart after selecting this option, you will see that the discount will have been applied correctly.
Also, while there is no Buy Series option with the Way of the Samurai 3 Deluxe Edition, you'll find that if you put both this edition and Way of the Samurai 4 in your basket then the full 15% discount should be applied.
I hope that's all clear? You're a clever lot so I'm sure you'll work it out :)
And if you'd like more details on both games why not check Al's blogpost in which he compares the two.

I've got some really good news for everyone who likes cool Japanese open world games, Samurai & DRM free gaming because the brilliant Way of the Samurai 3 will finally be making its long-awaited debut on GOG. The game will be priced at just $19.99 for the Standard Edition, $24.99 for the Deluxe Edition (which includes the game and all DLC) and $5.99 for the Deluxe Edition Upgrade. Plus, if you buy the game at launch you'll benefit from a mighty a 50% launch discount off (40% for the deluxe edition)! This is a deal that you won't want to miss!
As it's been quite a while since we last talked about Way of the Samurai 3, here is a quick reminder about what makes this entry in the million-plus-selling franchise so much fun.
Honour, sacrifice, betrayal… Your choices make you who you are. How will history remember you?
Jump into the sandals of a mysterious lone samurai during Japan’s turbulent Sengoku era, in one of the most atmospheric action RPGs ever created.
Explore the villages, body-strewn battlefields, bandit fortresses, immense castles and local town of Amana, in an open world bustling with a rich cast of colourful characters that you can help, ignore or victimise.
Choose your friends and enemies carefully in a game where every decision has far-reaching consequences, and where finishing the game is just the beginning of your journey…

-

-
The Pen Can Be Mightier Than the Sword - Fight your enemies by force or take the diplomatic route, using subtle gestures like the unsheathing of your sword or kowtowing. Featuring an extensive dialogue tree, combo system and much, much more!
With Way of the Samurai 4 already on GOG, I realise it may be difficult to choose between the two, although you could always get both :). But if that's not possible then why not check out this very handy article from Al, in which he compares the two games.
