Hi everyone. Welcome back to the Ghostlight blog.
This week we released the first two pieces of Agarest: Generations of War Zero DLC, which are Apostle of Wind pack for just £2.39 and the mighty Unlock Gallery pack for the princely sum of £6.29. There’s also loads of free DLC so if you’re struggling with Agarest Zero or want to pick up your free new dungeons then the PlayStation store is the place to go!
Speaking of Agarest DLC, voting is still open in our poll to decide which set of DLC for the original Agarest: Generations of War should see their price slashed. At the time of writing it’s almost neck and neck between Set A and Set C, but you’ve got until the poll closes on Monday to change that. So get voting.
In our recent FAQ blogs you may recall that we talked about several new changes that we are planning to bring in. Well, I’m pleased to tell you that our IT guy Ben is currently hard at work launching a brand new PayPal payment system on the Ghostlight Store. Not only that but we’re looking into offering some exclusive Agarest merchandise through our store too so expect to hear more news on this soon.
Of course that’s not all that’s been happening here at Ghostlight and we will soon be preparing to announce two new games - both on Sony consoles. Today I’m going to talk a little about the first game, which is on the PSP. It’s part of a Japanese franchise which has seen a few releases in Europe before, although never on this format. The game is set in our world, although history as we know it has changed somewhat with…
Oh, is that the time? I’ve got to go now. :)
Until next week, happy guessing!

To celebrate the imminent release of the Agarest Zero DLC we’re going to be running a sale on the DLC for the original Agarest: Generations of War. But it’s going to be a sale with a difference. Rather than us decide what items we’ll be reducing the price of we thought we’d ask you. We’ve grouped our paid Agarest: Generations of War DLC into 3 sets each containing 5 pieces of DLC. All you need to do is vote for the set of DLC you would most like to see go on sale in the poll below and we’ll aim to reduce the price of all the DLC in the set with the most votes by 50% for two weeks. Although I am trying to encourage my boss to leave it on sale for longer :).
More information about each of these pieces of DLC can be found here.
The poll is open until Monday the 28th November. So get voting.
Fans of Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Persona 2: Innocent Sin should not feel left out as both games now have dedicated websites featuring manuals in a variety of languages and can be found here and here.
Speaking of Trails in the Sky Pocketgamer.co.uk gave it their Gold Award in a 9/10 review summing the game up with
“This release from Ghostlight is a mightily impressive proposition. Fans of the genre will revel in the complexity and vastness of the story and systems of play, while those who don't like the traditions of the format will be welcomed in by its forgiving attitude and believable characters.
If you have a PSP and an interest in JRPGs, this needs to be on your radar.”
That’s all for now. I’ll see you all next week.

Hi everyone. I hope you’ve all been enjoying Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Persona 2: Innocent Sin this past week. We’ve already received some reviews for both games, so why not check out GirlgamersUK’s fantastic 8/10 review of Trails in the Sky? Here’s a little sample for you:
"Without any doubt, The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is one of the most impressive and submerging JRPG games that I have experienced on the PSP. It may have taken a while for this game to be released in the UK, but it would seem that the wait was worth it. This highly polished JRPG is an essential buy for any PSP-owning role-players."
Whilst in the USA Gamingtrend.com took a look at Persona 2 Innocent Sin and awarded it 90% saying:
“Persona 2: Innocent Sin is a prime example of the entire reason many of us have loved Japanese RPGs for years.”
In other news, the Agarest: Generations of War Zero paid DLC is still being looked at by Sony Europe’s elite band of ninja testers. We’ve already received approval for several of the paid items and will be sorting out release dates for them shortly.
Also with Sony’s testing team are the PSN versions of Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Not only that but I can also tell you that we will be offering our Trails of Innocence Combo Pack for download on PSN allowing you to pick up both games for a reduced price. If all goes well we will be announcing the PSN release date for both of these fantastic games very soon. For those of you who prefer our physical editions we do still have some T-Shirts and Posters left if you hurry.
Finally, you may remember us asking you about Vita games a couple of weeks back. Well never say we don’t work fast, as we’ve currently got a few games in the office for us to look at, including a few that you suggested. I’m really looking forward to evaluating them soon.
That’s all for now, but I’ll be back next week with all the latest from Ghostlight.
