Trails in the Sky and Persona 2 to get PSN release

Mon, 12th Dec 2011 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  Some of you have been asking us about the PSN release of our two latest PSP JRPGs, the amazing Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and the fantastic Persona 2: Innocent Sin. Well, I am delighted to be able to tell you that both games will be released on PSN this Wednesday (14th December) for €34.99/£27.99 each.  As with our physical release you will also be able to buy them together as part of the Trails of Innocence double pack for €59.99 (£47.99), saving you a cool €10.00 (£7.99).

Sadly there will be a delay to the Australian release as we are in the process of sorting out the OFLC ratings for both games.  We would like to apologise to all our Australian fans for this delay and can assure you that we are doing everything we can to get Trails in the Sky and Persona 2 out on the Australian store as soon as possible

Ghostlight to release Agarest: Generations of War 2

Hi everyone.  Welcome back to a very special return for the Ghostlight Friday Blog.  We promised you a big PS3-flavoured announcement in last week’s blog and I’m delighted to be able to tell you that there is now one less PlayStation®3 kit on my desk.  Er… wait that’s not the right announcement. Sorry about the slight technical difficulty there.

Ghostlight are delighted to reveal that we will be working with the wonderful people over at Idea Factory and Aksys to release the magnificent Agarest: Generations of War 2 in Europe.  We’re going to be doing another one of our fabulous Collector’s Editions so get ready for some more news on the contents in 2012.

The Story:

One day, the world was enveloped by a mysterious blinding light. The destruction it caused was terrible, even as the light itself was sublime in its beauty, and it made those who witnessed the awesome display think of the unrestrained rage and fury of the divine.

The central continent, from where the light is believed to have originated from, went silent, while at the same time demons began to spread throughout the world like a plague. Amongst the survivors of the catastrophe, that fateful day became known as the "Day of Light."

Sometime after the events of the Day of Light, a young man by the name of Weiss, who had lost all memory of himself, encounters an enigmatic woman named Eva, who introduces herself as an Agent of the Divine. It is from her that Weiss learns that he has committed the grievous sin of deicide, and that in order for him to atone for his crime he is to become the "Vessel" in which the power of the divinity he had slaughtered will be stored. For it will be that power that will be used to resurrect the one whose life he stole.

For those who betray the divine will pay for their sins in the space which separates salvation and damnation, as will their progeny...

Agarest 2 features:

  • Revamped BattleSystem: Unlike the first two games of the series, Agarest 2 battles are fought with an engaging active grid-based battle system.
  • HD graphics: Enjoy your favorite characters, environments and CGs in high-definition!
  • Mini-games: Engage in PlayStation®Move compatible Bathtub, Shiatsu, and Massage mini-games.
  • New Agarest Universe: Roam freely in the newly designed world of Agarest

Agarest: Generations of War 2 is due out in 2012.

Speaking of Agarest, I’m also glad to tell you that the final three pieces of Agarest: Generations of War Zero DLC; Voice Open, Face Gallery Open and Movie Gallery Open are now available on the PlayStation Store.  So, if you haven’t already, why not head over to the Agarest: Generations of War Zero section of the PlayStation Store and check out all our DLC, both free and paid?

Finally, some of you may have noticed there’s a little event creeping up on us called Christmas.  We’ve still got Agarest Zero T-Shirts as well as Trails in the Sky posters and Persona 2: Innocent Sin T-Shirts left, so why not get your order from the Ghostlight Store and not only will your friends and family get one of these fantastic games, but they’ll also get one of the fabulous exclusive items today.  We’re going to keep shipping any orders made through our website every weekday until the 23rd December, but if you’re ordering something for Christmas you might want to check out this handy guide to the last posting dates from Royal Mail.  We can now accept payments via PayPal so it is even easier to order from the Ghostlight Store.  If you have any problems with our new payment system please let us know.

That’s all for now, but I’ll be back in my regular Thursday slot next week with all the news from Ghostlight.  Until then remember to keep an eye on our Twitter, Facebook and our brand new, shiny Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

Another batch of the Agarest Zero DLC now available

Thu, 1st Dec 2011 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  Good to see you again.  We’ve released our second batch of Agarest: Generations of War Zero DLC which includes the following 19 items:

  • Daily Life Extension Pack
  • No Underestimated Pack
  • Chaos War Pack
  • L's Daily Life Extension Pack
  • Tomorrow's, Leading Part Pack
  • Cie's Bargain Pack
  • Youthful Days Pack
  • Strongest Weapon Pack
  • Usual Extra Pack
  • Point Addition Pack 3
  • Point Addition Pack 4
  • TP Addition Pack
  • PP Addition Pack 1
  • PP Addition Pack 2
  • Forbidden Book Volume 1
  • Forbidden Book Volume 2
  • Forbidden Book Volume 3
  • Additional Costume 1
  • Additional Costume 2

This new set of DLC joins our first batch of DLC and a collection of free Agarest Zero DLC on the PSN store. The final 3 items of paid Agarest Zero DLC (Unlock Expressions, Unlock Movie Gallery and Unlock Voices) will be released next Wednesday 7th December 2011. More details on pricing then.

Talking of Agarest DLC, our poll to decide which set of Agarest: Generations of War DLC would have its price slashed is now closed and the results have been counted and verified, so a big thank you to everyone who voted.  Set C containing Chastity Set, Gold and Enemy point pack, Grim Reaper Set, Neverland Set and Additional TP scored a narrow victory.  We are now talking to the people over at Sony to set up a two week 50% price reduction for all the Agarest: Generations of War DLC in this set. A release date for this price reduction will be announced as soon as it’s been confirmed.

Moving on, some of you may remember that last week we mentioned we were going to be announcing two new games and I threw a couple of clues out there for you to have a look at.  Sadly one of the clues was, um… well… it was sort of wrong.  My fault entirely; I thought I was being clever and unfortunately it turned out that the opposite was true.

Next week we will be seeing a bit of a blast from the past as a Friday Blog replaces the Thursday Blog for one night only.  It’s going to be a bit of a special one, so get ready for a PS3 announcement. :)

While you’re waiting for that, remember to keep an eye on our Twitter, Facebook and our brand new, shiny Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.  Hope to see you there.
