A late Christmas present shows up at Ghostlight

Thu, 12th Jan 2012 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  As most of you know we’re quite (justifiably I hope) proud of our Collector’s Editions here at Ghostlight  So it was a nice surprise to come in to the office today to find a rather nifty late Christmas Present hanging on our wall.  You see a tardy Father Christmas visited our office and left us this lovely framed Collector’s Editions of Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

Check this little beauty out :).

Talking of things that are late sadly we’re still unable to make the announcement we promised you earlier.  We don’t have an E.T.A. for it but don’t worry we do remember about it and we will be giving you the lowdown on our latest game as soon as we are able.

I’ve also been asked over on Twitter about the latest on Agarest: Generations of War 2.  I’m pleased to be able to tell you that Aksys are currently hard at work on the localisation which I’m told is nearing completion.  Plans for our Collector’s Edition are also coming along nicely.  I’m not allowed to tell you what we’re plotting yet. But stay tuned because you’re not going to want to miss this one.

Finally there was a nice bit of chart news this week as the amazing Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky climbed its way back into the PSP top 10 for the week between the 1st and 7th of January.  We’ve been getting some great reviews in so it’s great to see our TitS bouncing back into the charts.  Not only that but in the previous week Persona 3 Portable made a re-appearance on the chart at number 9.  It’s great to see that even months after release strong reviews and word of mouth can boost these great games back onto the charts.

Announcement Lost. If found, please contact Ghostlight

Fri, 6th Jan 2012 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  I hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year.  I was hoping to start this year’s blog off with a bit of a bang and announce a new PSP JRPG. Sadly, that plan went less than brilliantly and we haven’t been able to make the announcement yet.  Sorry about that everyone!  We’re working to get the announcement up as soon as possible, so fingers crossed.

One thing that did go rather well over the New Year is the number of mentions our games got in the end of year lists.

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky appeared in Wired’s Top 20 Games of 2011 and in GameZone’s Top 5 PSP games of 2011.  Our TitS were also on display in Snackbar Games Game of the Year 2011 List and Worthplaying.com’s Top Games of 2011Trails in the Sky also managed to walk home with a Destructoid Totally Random Award.

Not to feel left out, Persona 3 Portable appeared in Pocketgamer.co.uk’s list of The Top 10 PSP Games of 2011 alongside – you guessed it – Trails in the Sky.

Thank you for all your support over 2011 and, once again, our apologies for the delayed announcement.

A return to Thursday

Thu, 15th Dec 2011 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  It’s good to be back.

We’ve been working away this week and I’m pleased to say that Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and Persona 2: Innocent Sin are out now on the PlayStation Store, both individually and as part of a Double Pack. So, all of you who’ve been waiting to experience some virtual #sinwithtits should go and check out your PSN store now.

Some of you PSP owners might remember a new PSP game we dropped a few hints about a few weeks back.  We’re currently on the cusp of signing the game and - assuming nothing goes wrong before the ink on the paperwork dries - we should be able to announce it soon. :)

I hope all of you saw last week’s big announcement, but for those of you who missed it we’re going to be releasing Agarest: Generations of War 2 with Idea Factory and Aksys.  Now go check out the announcement and trailer here and you can see me after this blog to explain what you were doing last Friday :).

For those of you who still haven’t got all your Christmas presents sorted, we’re going to keep shipping any orders made through our website every weekday until the 23rd December but it’s getting a bit close now, so order anything you want for Christmas quickly and remember that if you order later than these dates you’re going to have to hope the postman is kind to you.

That’s all for now.  This Friday is my last day at work before the 3rdof January, but due to a nifty piece of blogging wizardry I’ll be here in spirit with another blog next week.  So, until then have a good week’s gaming and remember you can stay in touch with us on our Twitter, Facebook and our brand new, shiny Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.
