PSN Store News

Thu, 11th Oct 2012 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  Have you checked out the PSN Autumn Sale yet?  If you haven’t, you’ll be pleased to know that all the games I mentioned in last week’s blog are still available for bargain prices as part of the sale.  They all return to their normal price on the 17th of October though, so you’ll have to hurry.

In other news the Atlus fans among you may remember that I mentioned on a previous blogpost that our sister company, Midas, were working to release Maken Shao: Demon Sword as part of the PS2 Classics programme on PSN.  Well, I’ve recently heard that the game has now passed submission and will be released on PSN soon.

If you’re wondering what Maken Shao is like, here’s the description that will be used on the PSN store:

Maken... A man-made life form used to cure mental disease.

Take control of this awesome creature in an adventure that takes you across the globe, battling against a terrorist organisation and a malevolent Chinese god.

To succeed you must control dozens of game characters, unlocking their memories and special attacks in your struggle to unravel a sinister conspiracy to change the fate of humankind forever.

  • 19 levels set across the globe. From the Forbidden City to ancient Athens
  • Many characters to 'Brain Jack' and control. Unlock special moves as you play
  • Multilayered game structure. Secret characters, unlockable modes and game endings
  • Hidden modes - Fight game bosses in a survival challenge or view character artwork!

I must admit that Maken Shao was a bit before my time here, but I’ll definitely be picking it up off PSN when it does come out. :)

Some of you might also remember that we mentioned in an earlier blog about bringing some JRPG’s to PC/Steam.  It was certainly a popular idea :).  Well don’t worry we haven’t forgotten about it and I’ve just heard that we will be announcing our first game very soon.  That doesn’t mean you can’t suggest titles for us to look into though as we’re still looking for more games to bring to the PC :).

Finally, just a reminder that the first batch of Agarest: Generations of War 2 DLC is due out next Wednesday.  For more details of what will be coming, please check out last week’s blog.

That’s all for now. I’ll be back next week, but until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight. You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

Agarest 2 DLC gets release date

Thu, 4th Oct 2012 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  If you’ve played Agarest: Generations of War 2 since yesterday afternoon you will have noticed that the game has now been patched.  No changes to the gameplay have been made; the patch simply corrects the issue which was holding up the release of the Agarest: Generations of War 2 DLC.

Talking of the Agarest 2 DLC, I believe that last week I promised you all some release dates for all the items of DLC. :) Well, I am happy to report that the first set of Agarest: Generations of War 2 DLC will be released on the 17th October with another set of DLC being released every Wednesday for 5 weeks.

So what will the first set of Agarest 2 DLC contain?

Item Name  Price
1st Extra Character €2.49 / £1.99
1st Generation Exclusive Pack €3.99 / £3.19
Add-on Dungeon 1 Lucrellia FREE
Additional Rough Gallery €1.99 / £1.59
Bonus Point Pack 1 FREE
Bonus Point Pack 2   FREE
Frensberge Specialty Pack 1  €1.49 / £1.19
Novice Hunter’s Survival Pack FREE
Right to the Blacksmith Pack 1 FREE
Right to the Blacksmith Pack 2 FREE
Troglodyte Pack     FREE

In the future we’re going to be announcing which DLC items will be released that day on our Facebook page so if you aren’t liking us already, you can do so here :).

Of course there’s no point in buying the DLC if you can’t get the game, so you’ll be glad to know that while we have completely sold out of the Deluxe & Collector’s Editions you are still able to buy the Agarest 2 Standard Edition here.

Finally, as you may have noticed, there are some seriously massive savings to be had as several Ghostlight games are currently featuring in Sony Europe’s mighty PSN Autumn Sale!  On PS3 Agarest: Generations of War Zero has had its price slashed from £19.99 (€24.99) down to just £11.99 (€14.99), while on PSP & Vita we’ve cut the prices of both the Persona 2/Persona 3 bundle & the Persona 2/ Trails in the Sky bundle from £39.99 (€49.99) down to a mere £23.99 (€29.99).  Fate/EXTRA has had its price heavily reduced from £23.99 (€29.99) down to £13.99 (€17.99) and Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos is now available at the amazingly low price of £5.49 (€6.99) after being reduced from £11.99 (€14.99).

That’s all for now. I’ll be back next week, but until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.
