Agarest 2 gets a PSN release date (and news for our Finnish fans)

Thu, 1st Nov 2012 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  We’ve got a lot of Agarest: Generations of War 2 news for you this week.  Firstly I am happy to let you know that we now have a PSN release date for Agarest 2, which will be available on the PSN Store from the 7th November for just €34.99/£28.49.

Of course, this means that those of you who prefer to download your games can now play this epic JRPG.

Some of you have also pointed out that the Agarest 2 DLC has so far been missing from the Finnish Store. This was caused by differing metadata requirements in this country.  This issue has now been resolved and the first three batches of DLC should be appearing on the Finnish Store on the 14th November.  Apologies to all our Finnish fans for this delay. From now on the other DLC batches will be released on the Finnish Store two weeks after their release in the rest of Europe.

We’ve also released another batch of Agarest 2 DLC onto the PSN store this week, so make sure to fire it up to get your hands on the following items:

2nd Extra Costumes €2.99/£2.39
2nd Generation Exclusive Pack €3.99/£3.19
Add-on Dungeon 3 Enhambre FREE
Additional Bath Costumes €2.99/£2.39
Bonus Point Pack 5 €4.49/£3.69
Bonus Point Pack 6 €3.99/£3.19
Frensberge Specialty Pack 3 €1.99/£1.59
Overtake Your Rival Pack 2 FREE
Right to the Blacksmith Pack 5 FREE
Right to the Blacksmith Pack 6 FREE
Skilled Hunter’s Survival Pack FREE

Finally I regret to report that it is looking increasingly likely that both Devil Survivor: Overclocked and Devil Survivor 2 will not be released until 2013.  This is incredibly disappointing as we were very much hoping to be able to release both titles this year, but sadly this has not been possible.  It is worth noting that until we announce a release date, any dates you see for these games are unofficial and may be incorrect.

That’s all for now. I’ll be back next week, but until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight. You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

A contract signed

Thu, 25th Oct 2012 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  As you know, one of the things we’ve been working on recently is to bring some great console JRPGs to PC gamers and we may have just had a bit of a breakthrough: I have just heard that the contracts have all been agreed and we have signed Ghostlight’s first PC game. :)  This game has had a western release in its home console guise, but at the moment I’m unable to reveal more than that.  But I’m sure we will be revealing more details in the coming weeks.

In PSN-related news, some of the second batch of Agarest: Generations of War 2 DLC is now on the store and that you can now get your hands on the following items of DLC:

1st Extra Costumes

€2.99/£2.39

2nd Extra Character

€2.49/£1.99

Right to the Blacksmith Pack 1

FREE

Unfortunately at the moment much of the DLC we were expecting to be released this week is not yet on the store.  We are currently working to ensure that this issue is resolved as quickly as possible and I will let you know when I have more news in the comments section.

Remember to check back on our Facebook page at midday next Wednesday to see which items of DLC will be coming to the PSN Store next week.

Finally those of you awaiting news on our games for the Nintendo handhelds should keep their eyes peeled as I’m going to have more news for you on our upcoming games on DS and 3DS next week :).

That’s all for now. I’ll be back next week, but until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight. We are aware that at the time of writing this, both of the “Right to the Blacksmith” packs are not available on the PSN store. We are currently in contact with the team over at SCEE to resolve this issue and get them listed as soon as possible.

We’ve got another 11 items of DLC due next week, so remember to check back on our Facebook page at midday next Wednesday to see which items of DLC will be released.

Talking about release dates, last week we mentioned our sister company Midas’ forthcoming PlayStation®2 classic release of Atlus’ Maken Shao: Demon Sword.  I’ve just been told that Midas will be releasing Maken Shao in just under a month,on the 14th November.

On another subject, seeing as I really enjoyed meeting quite a few of you at the Eurogamer Expo earlier this month - and I know that there are several regular attendees of the MCM Expo among us - I was wondering if there would be any interest in an unofficial Ghostlight meet-up on Saturday the 27th October around the Excel Centre?  If you are interested please let me know in the comments here, or on my Twitter account. Please also mention if you’d prefer to meet up either around lunchtime or at around 5-6pm.

Finally regular visitors to the blog might notice something different.  Yes we have a brand new comment system :).  The new comments system features live commenting, threaded discussions and formatting options (paragraphs :)).  Guest posting isn’t working correctly at the moment but we’re looking to bring it in as soon as possible.
