Crash City Mayhem gets a Trailer

Thu, 16th May 2013 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone. I hope you’ve all been enjoying Crash City Mayhem, which was released last week on the Nintendo 3DS eShop.  The reaction to this excellent action driving game has been extremely positive!  Many of you have asked if there’s a European trailer for the game – well, due to some ‘technical difficulties’ the trailer wasn’t quite ready for the release date, but I’m pleased to say that it has now been finished!:

Crash City Mayhem (released as Runabout 3D: Drive Impossible by Rocket Company in Japan) is out now on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, priced at just £17.99/€19.99.

On the subject of 3DS news, I’m happy to report that the patch for Devil Survivor Overclocked has passed through Nintendo Lotcheck in Europe and is now with their team in Japan.  That means we are yet another step closer towards getting the patch out to all you brilliantly patient fans.  Not long to go now!

Speaking of Devil Survivor Overclocked, we’ve currently sold out of the second manufacturing run of the game, but don’t despair as we’ve got more stock due in on the 27th May.  If you would like to order the game to ensure your copy is sent out as soon as the new stock arrives you can order either the Standard Edition or the Poster Edition from the Ghostlight Store, here.  (Please note that this manufacturing run will still require the patch on release.)

In other news, the team at Laughing Jackal have been hard at work on the PC version of Agarest: Generations of War and a new build of the game is currently in test.  In addition to various bug fixes, this new build has the Steam API fully implemented as well as a brand new pause menu – Ok so it may not sound all that exciting :) but technically speaking the team is taking big steps towards finishing the port over to PC.

Finally, I know that several of you have been asking about when we will be able to announce our latest PSP game so I just thought I’d let you all know that I now have everything I need and that we will be able to announce this new title next Wednesday.

That’s all for now. I’ll be back next week with more news from Ghostlight. Until then you can follow Ghostlight on our Twitter and Facebook pages, our Youtube Channel and our  Google + account, where we’ll be posting all the latest news from Ghostlight.  You can also follow me on Twitter for a more personal take on all things Ghostlight.

Crash City Mayhem is out now!

Thu, 9th May 2013 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  I’m pleased to say that our brand new action driving game Crash City Mayhem (released as Runabout 3D: Drive Impossible by Rocket Company in Japan) is out now on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, priced at just £17.99/€19.99. To whet your appetite for this fantastic game why not go and check out Game Asylum’s look at the history of the Runabout series, which can be found here and then head to the eShop to find out why Official Nintendo Magazine called Crash City Mayhem “…shamelessly ridiculous driving fun” and awarded it a very impressive 75%.

So, pick it up today and experience high-octane driving thrills in glorious 3D as Crash City Mayhem comes speeding on to the Nintendo 3DS!  The more you destroy, the greater your rewards as you smash through the city streets in a series of dangerous missions against an evil syndicate of terrorists!

In other news, our dev team have been working away on Agarest: Generations of War for PC and we’ve been testing the latest build.  Aside from fixing a whole host of reported issues, this latest version has added the Steam API, which means that the game is now working on my Steam account. :)  We don’t want to get ahead of ourselves but the conversion seems to be going really well which might just mean a release sooner than we had originally anticipated.

With the Devil Survivor Overclocked patch currently in submission with Nintendo, we’ve been able to turn our attention to other things.  This means that you can probably expect some news on the upcoming Agarest Zero and Agarest 2 Digital Collector’s Editions on PSN, along with news of our plans for releasing Devil Survivor 2 on DS. We will, of course, update you when we have more news on the release date for the Devil Survivor Overclocked patch, but at the moment no news is most definitely good news as it means that no issues have been found. :)

Crash City Mayhem gets release date

Thu, 2nd May 2013 | Posted by Ross

Hi everyone.  We’ve got lots of news for you this week but first of all I thought I’d let you know that since last week’s blog, the patch for Devil Survivor Overclocked has now been submitted to Nintendo.  Assuming all goes well and it passes through their submission process, we are hopeful that it will be on the eShop very soon.  I will of course update you when I have more news.

In Agarest: Generations of War news we are now officially a Steam publisher and we are currently working to implement the Steam API into Agarest.  In addition to this, mouse controls are now implemented throughout the game and we have also been discussing ways of implementing the pause menu and an autosave feature.

Lastly and as the title suggests, I’m pleased to say that we now have a release date for the awesome Crash City Mayhem for 3DS (released as Runabout 3D: Drive Impossible by Rocket Company in Japan).  Crash City Mayhem will be released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop on the 9th May priced at just £17.99/€19.99.
